I was born a fiery competitor. Whether it was football, tennis, athletics, snooker, table tennis, or even darts, I simply loved competing. When I was 14, I was introduced to tennis at a local club by my father and his brother. In no time, I was hooked. I began playing every day, competing in local tournaments most weekends, and taking every opportunity possible to get myself on court. Tennis quickly became my second home.

That passion led to an international playing career that allowed me to travel the world, experience different cultures, and build lifelong friendships through the sport. I went on to represent both my county and Great Britain internationally, achieving a career-high world deaf tennis ranking of No. 3. My playing highlights include representing Great Britain in multiple Dresse Cups (the Davis Cup equivalent for deaf tennis), competing at the Deaflympic Games and European Deaf Championships, and winning numerous national deaf singles, doubles, and mixed doubles titles. These experiences shaped my competitive mindset and reinforced my belief that tennis can change lives.

Alongside my playing career, I developed a strong ambition to give others the same opportunities tennis gave me. This led me to pursue formal education and professional development in coaching and club management. I hold a BSc (Hons) First Class degree in Professional Practice in Tennis Coaching Management, alongside the Level 5 Master Club Coach Award and advanced performance coaching qualifications. I am also a Level 3 Personal Trainer, allowing me to integrate physical conditioning into player development programmes.

My coaching and management journey has spanned over two decades across the UK and the USA. I completed an 18-month tennis management internship with Cliff Drysdale Tennis in California, where I gained extensive experience in junior programme leadership, marketing, finance, staffing, and day-to-day club operations. Since returning to the UK, I have founded and directed successful coaching businesses, managed multi-site programmes, built and mentored coaching teams, and designed clear player pathways from beginner to national and international performance level.

I have coached players who have progressed to national and professional competition, while also delivering high-quality programmes for juniors, adults, schools, and performance squads. My coaching philosophy is centred on high standards, inclusivity, long-term development, and creating positive environments where players of all ages and abilities can thrive.

Driven, organised, and passionate about tennis, my ongoing ambition is to continue building successful, inclusive tennis programmes that inspire participation, performance, and personal growth — while helping players, coaches, and clubs reach their full potential.

Currently coaching at 2 sites across Hampshire: Aldershot and Liphook.
